Located on a 120-acre site on the shores of Lake Couchiching, National Chess Camp continues to set a standard of excellence in chess instruction and camping in North America. NCC offers the highest level of chess instruction and play combined with an array of recreational activities, all nestled in the best facilities within a highly stimulating musical environment. NCC campers experience an incredible week, make a significant leap in their chess level and create lifelong memories and friendships.

"My son Max had a great week at National Chess Camp. Although he never had lessons or competed as have many of the other children, he thinks he has learned a great deal and is confident about his ability. That was nice, but for me, the nicest part was that this is the first summer camp he has enjoyed. Three different camps over the past four years have had very poor outcomes, particularly from a social perspective. The students attending National Chess and Music camp were kind, helpful, and looked out for one another. When Max went to see the nurse one day, the other boys from his cabin showed up to check on him. Empathy, what a concept! No merciless teasing, no intimidation, just fun. Great job, great environment, hope to see you next year!"

"Ricky was very impressed with the caliber of the chess instructors. He rhapsodized not only about the chess he played and how helpful it was, but also about the water sports available that really had a Wow factor for him. He counts his time at your chess camp as one of the best experiences of his life."
